Medicine peoples’ relationship to and understanding of disease, illness, addiction and trauma is wholly unique. Advanced techniques in ancient Native methods of evaluation and treatment, as well as Indigenous perspectives to such phenomena are introduced and thoroughly practiced. Prerequisite: The Indigenous Journey or prior experience with journeywork
In this intensive participants receive:
– An appreciation of Indigenous worldviews regarding health, healing and balance
– An understanding of the nature of disease, addiction and trauma from an Indigenous perspective
– An overview of the myriad healing practices and techniques employed by Indigenous peoples worldwide
– Instruction in the protocols and foundation of Prayer and preparation of Sacred Altars
– Cultivation and fortification of relationship to Healing Spirits
– Tools for assessment and treatment of various imbalances and afflictions
– Practice in specific Native Healing modalities for self and others
